Intensifying the crackdown against unruly protesters, the Dispur Police have arrested four more persons for their involvement in several incidents of vandalism and arson cases during anti-CAB protests in Guwahati.
Intensifying the crackdown against unruly protesters, the Dispur Police have arrested four more persons for their involvement in several incidents of vandalism and arson cases during anti-CAB protests in Guwahati.
Those arrested have been identified as Asiful Ali, Pinku Choudhury, Rabi Swargiyari and Ridip Deka.
Earlier, the police had also arrested 24 other individuals on similar charges, taking the total number of arrested persons to 28.
Meanwhile, a few miscreants were apprehended by locals at Hatigaon area in Guwahati after they tried to vandalize shops and public property. After being thrashed by locals, the miscreants were later handed over to the police.
