After the shocking incidents that took place in Nagaon and Sibsagar where a son allegedly pushed his mother into the Kolong river and an elderly woman suspectedly committed suicide by setting herself on fire, unable to bear the alleged torture and harassment of their sons and daughter-in-law respectively.

In another similar incident of alleged harassment met out to them by their sons, an elderly couple has taken shelter in the verandah of a local hospital in Dibrugarh.

It is being learnt that though the couple has three sons, none has taken up the responsibility to look after their ailing parents.

The sons allegedly, a few days ago, forced the couple to leave their house and take shelter in a make-shift house.
