Severe anomalies have marred the selection process for recruitment into 945 posts of the Panchayat and Rural development department in Assam.
Shockingly, the question papers went viral through Whatsapp besides delay in commencement of examinations and shortage of question papers.
A section of applicants were seen using unfair means such as talking over the phone while writing for the examination.Adding to this candidates lashed out at the authorities for the numerous in the question papers and staged vehement protest outside an examination hall in Rangia.
The authorities had also allegedly failed to provide question papers even after 30 minutes of commencement of examination. However, during this period the question paper went viral through social media.
The situation later turned ugly leading to clash between the applicants and CRPF personnel. The security personnel resorted to baton charge to disperse the fumed applicants. The job aspirants are now demanding re-examination for the sake of their future.
Meanwhile, the Dhubri police have arrested two ladies identified as Rupali Saha and Sabrina Khatun in connection with leaking the question papers through Whatsapp.
The arrests were made after the Controller of examinations in the Bidyapara Higher secondary school informed the police about the duo of leaking the paper.
