In a tragic incident, a doctor and his two children died in a fire accident that took place in Tamil Nadu’s Tirupati district today. An investigation probed into the matter and it revealed that the fire incident had been caused by a short circuit.
According to sources, the Inspector of Renigunta Police said that the fire broke out on Sunday morning at around 3 to 4 a.m. on the first floor of the doctor’s house. The fire incident took place in the Renigunta area of Tirupati district.
The ground floor was functioning as an outpatient clinic, and the doctor’s family was residing on the first and second floors of the building.

Furthermore, police said that the fire department was alerted and the doctor’s wife and mother were saved during the rescue operation.
The injured Dr. Ravi Shanker succumbed after sustaining burn injuries and his two children, one a 12-year-old boy and the other a 7-year-old girl, died while undergoing treatment.
As per the preliminary investigation, the fire may have been caused due to a short circuit. A case has been registered on the matter, and the bodies have been sent for an autopsy report.
