Every Sunday, hundreds of fans flock outside Amitabh Bachchan’s Jalsa bungalow in Mumbai for a tiny glimpse. The actor greets and waves to his fans as he stands on a pedestal so that the person standing at the farthest end can get a glimpse of him. However, he is always spotted barefoot while meeting fans. The legendary superstar has finally revealed the reason behind it.
BIG B REVEALS WHY HE MEETS HIS FANS BAREFOOT
Amitabh Bachchan’s Sunday meet-o-greet with fans outside Jalsa is nothing short of a ritual. Whenever the actor can’t manage, he informs his fans beforehand via his daily blogs and tweets. On June 6, Big B took to Instagram and dropped a photo from his Sunday meet. However, this time too, he was barefoot.
And Big B had a beautiful reason for it. He wrote, “They ask me somewhat contentiously .. ‘who goes out to meet fans bare feet’ ? I tell them : ‘I do .. you go to the temple bare feet .. my well wishers on Sunday are my temple’ !! ‘You got a problem with that !!!’ (sic).”
WHEN BIG B INFORMED FANS ABOUT MISSING SUNDAY MEET IN MAY
Amitabh Bachchan wrote in his blog, “The human speaks and thinks with speed now .. the expression and the brevity of the express .. the understanding by the other in no uncertain terms and conditions, that this is what it is .. take or leave .. and when they have left the environ of discuss you sit and wonder where we are all going (sic)…”
He also added, “Going certainly not for the GATE at JALSA tomorrow, for .. there is work on location which can only be given permission for on a Sunday .. There shall be effort of course to return in time for the 5:45pm at Jalsa .. but there could be a delay or a non-appearance.. so a warning in advance to keep away (sic)…”
ON THE WORK FRONT
On the work front, Big B is currently shooting for Nag Ashwin’s Project K. He had also sustained an injury on the sets while shooting the film. Recently, he resumed work for Section 84, written and directed by Ribhu Dasgupta. It stars Diana Penty, Abhishek Banerjee and Nimrat Kaur.
