Union Home Minister Amit Shah has set 2024 deadline for the nationwide NRC.

Asserting that each and every infiltrator will be identified and expelled before the next General Elections, Amit Shah has set 2014 deadline for implementation of NRC across the nation.

It may be mentioned that Shah had recently stated in the Rajya Sabha that the Centre will implement the NRC in the entire nation to make the country illegal-migrant free.

Shah’s announcement was criticised by the opposition Congress and other parties which termed the move communal.
