In a heart-wrenching incident, an elderly woman was subjected to physical abuse and thrown out of her home by her younger son and his wife.

This heartbreaking incident took place in Amgudi Colony of ward number 3 in Assam’s Bijni.

The shocking act left the helpless woman to endure the harsh winter under the open sky.

As per reports, the woman’s younger son Kalachand Basak and his wife tortured her. Locals reported that Adri Basak faced constant abuse at the hands of her daughter-in-law. The abuse culminated in her abandonment during the chilling weather. Adri’s eldest son, who works elsewhere, was reportedly unaware of her plight.

Concerned residents alerted the police, who rescued the woman and are investigating the matter. Kalachand Basak, however, has denied the allegations.

This tragic incident underscores the growing plight of elderly abuse, raising questions about humanity and compassion in today’s world. As society grapples with such injustices.
