Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar will miss the 3-day long big fat wedding of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant starting today as he has tested positive for the contagious COVID-19.

According to reports, the actor was busy promoting his latest movie ‘Sarfira’ despite feeling unwell for the last few days.

After experiencing symptoms, he got tested for COVID-19 this morning, and the test results came back positive for the infection. Some of his crew members working with him for the promotion of the movie had already tested positive for the virus.

Akshay Kumar has isolated himself and is taking all precautions as recommended by his doctors.

The 3 days of the wedding celebrations starts today with the “Shubh Vivah,” to be held on July 13 with the “Shubh Aashirwad,” and end on July 14 with the “Mangal Utsav,” a lavish banquet.

The movie Sarfira was released in theatres today. It is an official adaptation of the 2020 Tamil film Soorarai Pottru.
