Akshay Kumar to make his Tollywood debut, with Vishnu Manchu’s ‘Kannappa’

Akshay Kumar is all set to make his Telugu film debut with Mukesh Kumar Singh’s Kannappa. The fantasy drama is inspired by the Hindu mythology and stars Vishnu Manchu in the lead role as the titular devotee of Lord Shiva.

In addition to Akshay, the film also features Prabhas, Mohanlal, and Prabhu Deva in pivotal roles.
Recently, taking to Twitter, Ramesh Bala recently took to X/Twitter to make the amazing declaration of roping in Akshay Kumar in the mythological-based movie.

He wrote, “Bollywood Superstar @akshaykumar joins the cast of Prestigious Pan-India Biggie – Actor @iVishnuManchu’s Big Budget movie #Kannappa. After #Prabhas, @Mohanlal, @PDdancing, and @realsarathkumar – @akshaykumar is one more grand addition to the movie’s cast..Stay tuned for more exciting updates..(sic).”

Khiladi actor had last worked in a bilingual film, ‘Ashaant’, in 1993, which had released in Kannada as ‘Vishnu Vijaya’.

He was also seen in a negative role in Tamil movie ‘2.0’ directed by Shankar also starring Tamil superstar Rajnikanth. This movie is his third venture down south.

Currently, Akshay Kumar is busy promoting his upcoming action thriller ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’.

He will be seen sharing screen space with Tiger Shroff, Manushi Chhillar, Alay F, Ronit Roy. The movie has been directed by Ali Abbas Zafar of ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ fame.
