The Asian Institute of Management and Technology organised a national-level discussion on Protecting Child Rights here in Guwahati today.

The seminar was graced by experts from diverse fields, the panel consisted of Mr. Subhash Chandra Keyal, Assitant Solicitor General, Government of India, Journalist Dr. Rashmi Sarmah, Advocate Babita Saikia, Activist Maharshi Goswami and Senior Journalist and Social Thinker Wasbir Hussain.

The seminar was organised to create awareness among the masses and among the youth about various issues concerning the society and the state.

The panellists deliberated on the current scenario relating to child abuse in the region and the country, and suggested corrective measures that need to be taken to strengthen the laws and also to educate the masses on Child rights.
