Activist Sol Dodum is all set to launch a statewide protest against alleged corruption today in Arunachal Pradesh.

Dodum’s latest protest comes after he alleged there is corruption in every department and that the government is indifferent in addressing the issue.

The activist also appealed people to join the protest and press the government to act.

Meanwhile, Itanagar DC Talo Potom has issued a notice to Sol Dodum wherein he has mentioned that the peaceful march must not obstruct free flow of traffic and volunteers must ensure there is peace and tranquility at all times. Furthermore, the DC also warned that damage to any public property would attract legal action.

It may be mentioned that the state government has on more than one occasion urged Dodum to call off his protest assuring that work is underway to ensure supply of clean drinking water in Seppa. The state government has also given a timeline for completion of work. Besides this, the government has also assured a probe into allegations of corruption in the PHE department. However, Dodum has refused to budge stating that the protest will continue until all demands are met on ground.
