BJP national president Amit Shah addressed his first rally at Lawngtlai on Tuesday.
The BJP president who reached the Lengpui airport in Aizawl at 11am, headed straight to Lawngtlai for the public rally.
Shah is also slated to address another public meet at Veirangteh in Kolasib district later in the day.
While Congress president Rahul Gandhi addressed a rally at Champhai earlier, BJP national president Amit Shah was in Lawngtlai for his first public meet of the day.
It will be a crucial day of campaigning for both the Congress which is looking to retain its last bastion in the region and the BJP which will not only looking to make inroads in the hill state but trying to change the poll arithmetic in Mizoram.
