In yet another proud moment for the region, Ace Assam swimmer Elvis Ali Hazarika has become the first from the Northeast to swim across the Catalina Channel.
Elvis swam from the United States to Mexico, which is approximately 20 miles by sea. It took Elvis 10 hours and 51 minutes to cross the channel.
