Accident deaths dip in Assam on New Year’s Eve: CM

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma today said that this year's number of fatalities in road accidents on New Year's Eve has dropped to 5 from previous 15.

In separate road accidents, there were killed in Cachar district and one each in the Golaghat, Tinsuka, and Dhemaji districts. CM Himanta Biswa Sarma hopes to reduce the number of deaths in road accidents on New Year’s Eve to 00 in the coming years by continuing the state’s tight vigilance drive.
