Demanding wage hike, the All Adivasi Students Association of Assam (AASAA) has called for a day-long bandh in tea gardens of Assam.
The association has demanded hike in the daily wages of the tea garden workers from Rs 167 to Rs 350.
The bandh is affecting the functioning of tea gardens across the Brahmaputra valley of the state where there are as many as 900 registered tea gardens.
