7 Rohingyas to be deported to Myanmar from India

As many as 7 Rohingyas, lodged in Assam’s Silchar Central Jail since 2012 have been taken to Indo-Myanmar border town of Moreh in Manipur, from where they will be deported

As many as 7 Rohingyas, lodged in Assam’s Silchar Central Jail since 2012 have been taken to Indo-Myanmar border town of Moreh in Manipur, from where they will be deported back to their country on Thursday.

Seven of them entered India illegally in 2012 and settled down in the outskirts of Silchar near Nagatilla area. The same year they were picked up and lodged in Silchar Central Jail.

These Myanmarese nationals are Sabir Ahmed, Mohammad Inus, Jamal, Mohammad Salam, Rohimuddin, Jamal Hussain and Mukbul Khan.

All the 7 are residents of Keito village in Myammar’s Faida district.
