Seven more persons have tested COVID-19 positive in Guwahati.

Three persons are from Sarusajai quarantine centre and 3 are related to the Fancy Bazaar potato godown case.

One person had died at GMCH prior to detection, becoming the fourth coronavirus fatality in Assam.

Taking to Twitter Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote,”#COVID19 + cases detected from Guwahati. One person had unfortunately died at GMCH prior to detection. 3 patients are from Sarusajai quarantine centre; & rest 3 related to Aloo Godam case are from Fancy Bazaar containment zone.”

The number of COVID-19 positive cases in Assam have now reached 115, active cases 68 and 4 death.
