The 7-day Atirudra Maha Yagya organized in Amingaon in Assam’s capital city Guwahati concluded today.

Organized with the objective of restoration of world peace, the Maha Yagya saw the participation of a huge number of devotees during the last seven days.

Around 200 priests from across the country performed the yagya as holy chants filled up the air.

Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal was also present at auspicious occasion along with Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.

It is noteworthy here that, during the seven days of the Maha Yagya, devotees also experienced an amalgamation of Carnatic and Western music. Renowned drummer from Karnataka, Shivamani was also seen performing at the auspicious occasion.

The Atirudra Maha Yagya is considered to be one of the most powerful and scared Yagyas, which is believed to wash away all the sins and afflictions and brings peace, prosperity, happiness and togetherness.
