7 Assam police personnel booked for bribery and corruption

In a major crackdown against corruption in Assam police, the Assam CID has registered criminal case against seven police personnel in an alleged complaint of bribery and corruption.
And chances are, these seven police personnel, including Bajali Deputy Superintendent of Police Puskal Gogoi, could be arrested soon. As per inputs, the Assam Police Headquarters received the complaint in the first week of August. Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma said that corruption in police will not be tolerated and the accused police officers will be put on reserved close. The CM added the accused officials would be arrested if found guilty.
