A summary general court martial by the Army has pronounced the judgement awarding stringent punishment to three officers including a major general and four personnel in the 24 year old fake encounter case.
The army judgement comes at a time when the CBI is enquiring into cases of alleged extra judicial killings in Manipur that have already indicted several state policemen.
Speaking to Northeast Live, Human Rights Activist Babloo Loitongbam said that this is a welcome move at a time when struggle for justice of a large number of extra judicial killings and false encounter are going on.
