As many as six workers were killed in a tragic explosion at Sainath Fireworks, a unit in Appaiyanaickenpatti, Sattur, Tamil Nadu, on Saturday morning.

The explosion caused three working sheds to collapse, trapping workers. Fire and rescue services are actively clearing the debris to locate any remaining victims. The incident highlights the persistent safety concerns in the Virudhunagar district’s fireworks industry, reports TOI.
