55,000 households in Guwahati to get clean drinking water by Dec 2020

Assam CM Sarbananda Sonowal on Tuesday in a review meeting of the Guwahati Development Department (GDD) in Janata Bhawan stated that altogether 55,000 households of Guwahati will receive clean drinking water by December 2020.

The first phase of the scheme will be launched by CM Sonowal himself on March 15.

Sonowal also directed the department to cover all the people living in Guwahati city under the water supply scheme.

Siddhartha Bhattacharyya, Cabinet Minister of Law and Justice, Cooperation and GDD, Santanu Bharali, Legal Adviser to CM, Chief Secretary, Kumar Sanjay Krishna, Guwahati Development Department, Chief Secretary Manindar Singh, Sanjay Lohiya, Principal Secretary to CM, were present in the meeting.
