43 new COVID-19 cases in Tripura, state tally at 1,138

Tripura’s COVID-19 tally reached 1,138 after 43 new coronavirus cases were detected on Wednesday.

The fresh cases hav emerged out of 1,250 samples sent for testing.

Of the total 43 cases, majority have travel history to other states while the rest came in direct contact with other COVID-19 patients.

Among the confirmed positive cases, 3 are from BSF’s 34 Battalion, 6 from Maharani BSF Camp, 4 from BSF’s 120 Battalion, 26 from BSF’s 74 Battalion, while 4 are civilians.

Taking to Twitter Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb informed, “4️⃣3️⃣ people found COVID-19 POSITIVE out of 1250 samples tested. Majority of them have travel history & others were in contact of COVID-19 patients.”

“Among them: 3 from 34 Bn BSF, 6 from Maharani BSF Camp, 4 from 120 Bn BSF, 26 from 74 BN BSF, 4 civilians,” Deb added.

The new cases count includes, 30 from West Tripura district, 10 from Gomati district, 2 from South Tripura district and 1 individual from Sepahijala district.
