Out of 990 samples tested for COVID-19 in Tripura, 4 among them tested positive for the virus on Monday, taking the total cases count to 195.

It is to be noted that the 4 patients had returned to the state from Maharashtra, which is currently the hotbed of COVID-19 cases in the country.

Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb on Monday night tweeted, “990 samples have been tested today in Tripura for COVID-19. Among them 4 persons found COVID19 positive. All of them have returned from Mumbai, Maharashtra by train.”

With this, the number of active cases in the state have gone up to 30 with 165 persons recovered so far.
