The movement for People’s Right Forum in Manipur has alleged misappropriation of ADC funds sanctioned during the financial year 2017-18 and has asked the state government for a probe in the matter.
According to the forum, the Central government released an amount of Rs. 143.77 crores for executing developmental works in the Hill Areas of Manipur.
This fund has been misappropriated and wrongfully utilized by the concerned officials, along with the elected ADC members of the respective district by allotting works to agents without executing the actual work.
Members of the forum said that they will write to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union home minister Amit Shah and chief minister of Manipur N Biren Singh to set up an independent probe into the matter.
