30 houses gutted in a massive blaze in Dibrugarh

As per inputs, the fire first broke out at the residence of Ashok Sharma and spread quickly to adjacent houses.

A devasting fire gutted at least 30 houses at Dhobipatty area near BNP school in Amolapatty area in Dibrugarh on Wednesday evening. The fire broke out at around 5.40pm and suspected to have been caused by firecracker explosions.

As per inputs, the fire first broke out at the residence of Ashok Sharma and spread quickly to adjacent houses. The fire spread when the two cylinders exploded in the area. Following the incident, several fire tenders were immediately rushed to the spot from across Dibrugarh town . After hours of struggle, firefighters doused the blaze.

No casualty has been reported in the fire incident. Valuable documents and property worth lakhs were damaged in the fire.
