Assam Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Friday, addressing a press conference informed that the three positive COVID-19 patients in Guwahati have no travel history.
Sarma has urged the citizens to remain alert. He appealed the people to immediately rush to the hospital if anyone is suffering from cough, fever and diarrhea.
A post graduate student from the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) had tested COVID-19 positive on Thursday.
Meanwhile, the Health Minister mentioned that 386 people have been quarantined because of the COVID-19 positive student.
The people who have been quarantined include GMCH Superintendent Dr Ramen Talukdar and several other employees.
