Three persons including a traditional head of a village in Meghalaya’s East Jaintia Hills are feared drowned in the Prang River near India-Bangladesh border.
The three-Elios Swear, the Dolloi of Rymbai Elaka, his brother in law and nephew were among the six people who had ventured into the area when the incident took place.
The three feared drowned had crossed over to the other side and the mishap happened on their way back.
East Jaintia Hills SP Vivekanand Rathode said it is still not clear if they were out fishing or doing some other work in the forest.
