In an unfortunate incident, a 25-year-old man died after he fell from a log bridge over the Teesta River on his way back home from Gangtok.
The incident took place near Lower Dzongu region in North Sikkim on Friday evening.
The deceased has been identified as Rapzung Lepcha, resident of Lum village.
As per inputs, he fell while walking on the temporary log bridge over the Teesta river belt and lost his life.
It needs to be mentioned here that the main bridge which connects Lum village in Lower Dzongu region of North Sikkim has been damaged and is under construction for the last 11 Months.
