Advantage Assam 2.0, the mega infrastructure and investment summit scheduled to be held in Guwahati on February 25-26 is going to see the signing of MOUs worth Rs 1.22 lakh crore, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said today.
“The 240 MOUs which have been cleared by the Cabinet today are those which have come to the Assam Government. Many leading industry leaders like Mukesh Ambani, Gautam Adani and Anil Agarwal of the Vedanta Group would like make announcements regarding investing in Assam. That will be separate from these MOUs”, CM Sarma said addressing the media after the Cabinet meeting.

The MOUs will cover almost all sectors of business and industry starting from handlooms and textiles to power, infrastructure, technology, education and finance.
