19-year-old girl from Assam commits suicide in Bengaluru

A 19-year-old student from Assam’s Lakhimpur district who was stranded in Bengaluru allegedly committed suicide on Tuesday.

The girl named Lopamudra Neog, a management student was found dead at her apartment under Koramangala police station in Bengaluru city district.

After receiving the information, police arrived on the spot and recovered her body. The body of the student was found hanging in her rented house (7 no.block) at Third Cross Apartment.

Police has registered a case regarding the incident.

The student is the daughter of Hemanta Kumar Neog, a retired police officer from Barbali Chamua village in Lakhimpur district. Meanwhile, Assam health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma took to Twitter to request Karnataka chief minister BS Yediyurappa to help the family in bringing the body to Assam.
