17 more test COVID-19 positive in Tripura, state tally rises to 271

As many as 17 persons have tested positive for COVID-19 in Tripura on Saturday. Among the 798 samples, which were tested today, samples of 17 have tested positive for coronavirus.

“798 people tested today for COVID-19 out of which 17 people found #POSITIVE. Among them, 15 returnees from Maharashtra & 2 Bangladesh returnees,” Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb tweeted.
All the 17 persons who tested positive today are stranded individuals, who returned to the State recently.
Of the positive patients, 15 had returned from Maharashtra and 2 from Bangladesh. With this, the total cases in Tripura have gone up to 271.
Earlier yesterday, 10 persons had tested positive for COVID-19. 1 is a returnee from Gurugram, 8 from Bangadesh, and 1 other from the 86th BSF battalion.
These 10 individuals were found positive from amongst 915 persons who were tested for the virus.
