17 Bangladeshi Nationals Including 2 Women Arrested By Hallidayganj Police Under West Garo Hills

The Meghalaya police has intensified the crackdown on illegal influx in the state.

The Meghalaya police has intensified the crackdown on illegal influx in the state. While influx seems to be happening at an alarming rate particularly in the Garo Hills region, the police have heightened its vigil and managed to apprehend at least 31 bangladeshi infiltrators only in the last 3 days. As per latest inputs, 17 infiltrators hailing from Bangladesh, who entered India through Hallidayganj in Meghalaya’s South West Garo Hills have been arrested by the police. Among those arrested include 2 women.
