An incident of a 16 year old girl committing suicide after she was being allegedly raped by a youth has been reported from Tripura’s Lakshmichara village, the incident took place
An incident of a 16 year old girl committing suicide after she was being allegedly raped by a youth has been reported from Tripura’s Lakshmichara village, the incident took place on Tuesday.
A youth identified as Raju Reang raped the 16 year old and when the girl cried out loud, the victim’s mother came out and thereafter Raju escaped.
Following this, the victim left her house and was not found until yesterday. It was yesterday that her body was recovered hanging in a jungle near her house.
Meanwhile, the body of the girl has been sent to a nearby hospital for post mortem. An FIR has been lodged in this connection by the victim’s father. The accused has been later arrested.
