Incessant rainfall cause heavy landslides in Nagaland. 10 houses have been severely damaged due to landslide in the lower Pezielietsie area of Kohima in Nagaland.
The Disaster Management team evacuated 14 families and extended relief funds to the affected familes. To avert further damage due to the landslide, authorities are dismantling more houses.
Meanwhile, a high alert has been issued by the Nagaland Government as the Sidzu river is flowing above the danger mark.
Due to massive landslide on the upstream of the river above the Chakabama-Pfutsero bridge, an artificial dam has been made.
Alert has also been issued to the residents of the nearby areas of the river, avoiding vehicular movement to those areas.
