1 kg gold biscuits seized at Guwahati Railway station, 2 held

In a significant development, a team of Guwahati Railway police officers, seized three gold biscuits from two persons at Guwahati Railway Station today. The gold biscuits, weighing 1 kg were seized from the duo hailing from Rajasthan who was travelling to Guwahati by train.
The duo identified as N Rahul Soni and Sandeep Kumar have been taken into custody.
Earlier on March 8, Guwahati Railway Police seized a huge amount of gold from the Rajdhani Express at Guwahati’s Paltanbazar Railway Station. The Guwahati Railway Police seized 20 gold biscuits weighing 3.20 kg, worth Rs 2 crore.
Police arrested a person named Sharif Aslam in connection with the case. Reportedly, the gold biscuits were smuggled from Manipur to Delhi
