BJP MLA Sanbor Shullai while condemning the threat to stop transporting of goods to Meghalaya, by the All Assam United Motor Transport Association (AAUMTA) , has emphasized the need for a mutually beneficial understanding between Tourist Taxi Associations of the two states to promote tourism.
Shullai has termed the threat to stop transporting of goods to Meghalaya as โhighly objectionableโ and have urged the Assam government to take suo motto cognizance of the matter. The BJP leader has also appealed to Tourist Taxi Associations of the two states to resolve the issue amicably, citing successful models from Sikkim and Darjeeling.
