The Nambul river flowing by Imphal city has almost touched the danger mark and is raising risks of flash floods in the periphery, in case rain continues for another day. Meanwhile, Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh said that the government is already taking precautionary steps given the fact that the rivers are flowing above the danger mark. Awangbou Newmai, minister of Water Resources, while speaking to Northeast Live stated that his department is keeping a 24 by 7 vigil on the situation and are getting prepare to handle the situation.
