Today is the fourth day of Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, which was launched on January 14 in Manipur.
The Cong leader earlier paid homage to the hundreds of soldiers of the Allied Forces who fell in the fierce battle of Kohima in 1944
Gandhi along with Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge kicked off the yatra in presence of other senior leaders and supporters.
Chief Minister Biren Singh said that the go ahead will be given only after taking a report from security agencies.
He will reach Nagaland on the second day after commencing the yatra in Manipur on January 14.
CM Biren Singh said that Rahul’s visit will not make any difference since the Congress has no support in the state.
The Yatra, which will be undertaken mostly by bus with short stretches of walking, will cover 6,200 kilometres across 14 states.
