The I-League is all set to see the last northeast derby match of the season as Shillong Lajong clash against defending champions Aizawl FC on Monday. The match is scheduled to take place at Shillong’s Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.

Shillong Lajong and Aizawl are placed 5th and 6th in the standings respectively with 18 points each and it is to be seen which team will emerge victorious today.

Aizawl FC, under new coach Santosh Kashyap, who drew 2-2 with Indian Arrows in their last outing, are determined to thwart their opponents and come up on top. The defending champions have had a tough time this season failing to score a victory in the last eight matches.

Shillong Lajong, on the other hand, started the season well but lost eight matches midway through the campaign.
