Marathon Girl of Sikkim Phurba Tamang from Lingmoo, South Sikkim has won a silver medal in the recently concluded Tata Mumbai Marathon 2023 in Mumbai, Maharashtra.

Phurba Tamang came second after Darishisha Langjuh from the US clocked 03:31:27 in the 42 Km marathon run in the 25 years – 29 years age category to win the gold.

Bandasharan Marwein from Mumbai came close third.
Tata Mumbai Marathon is one of the top 10 marathons in the world and with the Gold Label, the event has firmly cemented its position as one of the preferred events worldwide.
