Indian tennis duo Rohan Bopanna and Rutuja Bhosale bagged the gold medal in the tennis mixed doubles at the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou on Saturday

In the Asian Games at Hangzhou, India currently has 41 medals, with 11 gold, 16 silver and 14 bronze medals. On Saturday, five medals. Let us look at those medal winners.

Rohan Bopanna and Rutuja Bhosale (Tennis)

The Indian tennis duo Rohan Bopanna and Rutuja Bhosale bagged the gold medal in the tennis mixed doubles at the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou on Saturday. The Rohan-Rutuja duo struggled in the initial set of the match and lost the first set against Chinese Taipei’s En-shuo Liang and Tsung-hao Huang by 6-2. The Indian pair made a stellar comeback and later dominated the game to beat their opponents in straight two sets by 3-6, and 4-10.

Saurav Ghosal, Abhay Singh, Mahesh Mangaonkar, Harinder Pal Sandhu (Squash)

With their fierce performance, the Indian men’s squash team of Mahesh Mangaonkar, Saurav Ghosal and Abhay Singh clinched a gold medal after defeating Pakistan 2-1 in a high-intensity final of the ongoing 19th Asian Games on Saturday.

Sarabjot Singh, Divya TS (Shooting)

The Indian shooting duo of Sarabjot Singh and Divya Subbaraju secured a silver medal in the mixed 10 m air rifle pistol team event at the ongoing Asian Games in Hangzhou on Saturday. With a total of 14 points, India fell just two points of gold to China, who secured a total of 16 points to get the top prize.

Kartik Kumar (Athletics)

The final of the men’s 10000m was a delight for India as Kartik Kumar bagged silver on Saturday. Kartik won silver with a timing of 28:15.38s.

Gulveer Singh (Athletics)

Gulveer Singh clinched bronze in the Asian Games on Saturday in men’s 1000 m. Gulveer clocked 28:17.21s to claim the bronze.
