In a unique initiative to provide a comfortable and private space for breastfeeding mothers while traveling, the Inner Wheel Club of Dibrugarh, the women’s largest international organization, installed a breast feeding kiosk at Banipur Railway Station in Dibrugarh, Assam.
The kiosk aims to provide a comfortable and private space for breastfeeding mothers traveling through the station. The kiosk also offers a clean and serene environment where mothers can breastfeed their infants without any hesitation.
The breastfeeding kiosk was inaugurated by Srinivasan, Railway Superintendent Anil Poddar, Secretary of the Dibrugarh Press Club, and PDG Rotarian Kalpana Khound in the presence of members from the Railway Department, the Secretary of the Dibrugarh Press Club, along with other media personnel, the members of the Inner Wheel Club, local authorities, and concerned individuals.
Speaking after the inauguration, Dibya Saraf, President of the club, said, “By establishing this breastfeeding kiosk, the Inner Wheel Club is actively promoting a nurturing environment that supports mothers in their breastfeeding journey.”
“The installation and inauguration of the breastfeeding kiosk at Banipur Railway Station will undoubtedly contribute to making public spaces more inclusive and supportive of the needs of nursing mothers,” stated Priyam Kasera, Secretary of the club.
“This remarkable effort by the Inner Wheel Club of Dibrugarh not only demonstrates their dedication to improving the lives of breastfeeding mothers but also sets an inspiring example for other communities to follow,” said PDG Rotarian Kalpana Khound after inaugurating the kiosk.
