With just over a week left for the Manipur General Elections, Political parties are campaigning in a frenzy, bringing in star campaigners to woo voters. Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb will be the 5th Chief Minister to campaign in the Manipur polls.
Chief Minister Biplab Deb will be arriving in Manipur today, to drum up support for Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Candidate Yuh Jonathan Tao, who is contesting from the Karong Assembly Constituency.
Jonathan is also the Vice President of BJP Manipur OBC In-charge.

The Tripura Chief Minister will be attending Jonathan’s flag hoisting ceremony at Oinam Hill Village in Senapati district.
Meanwhile, Nagaland Deputy Chief Minister Yanthungo Patton and Manipur BJP President Adhikarimayum Sharda Devi will be attending the flag hoisting ceremony as well.
The BJP continues with its high-profile campaigning for Manipur Assembly Elections.
Yesterday, Union Minister for Women and Child Development Smriti Zubin Irani boosted the campaign in the state.
Manipur will go for polls in two phases. The first phase will be held on February 28 and the second on March 5.
The vote counting will take place on March 10.
