Ramnagar is one of the 60 Legislative Assembly constituencies of Tripura state in India It is in West Tripura district and is a part of Tripura West (Lok Sabha constituency).
In 2018 assembly elections the constituency had 43, 659 electors. In 2023 the population of Ramnagar is estimated to be 2,772 and total households residing are 502.
BJP Candidate Surajit Datta is the sitting MLA of Ramnagar constituency. He won the seat by defeating RATAN DAS of the Communist Party of India (marxist) with a margin of 4855 votes.
Surajit Datta had contested the 2013 Tripura Assembly election as a Congress candidate from Ramnagar constituency. He won the 2003, 1998, 1993 and 1988 as a congress candidate from Ramnagar constituency.
He is again contesting the 2023 assembly elections from Ramnagar as a BJP candidate.
