Mohanpur is an Assembly constituency of Tripura. In 2018, BJP candidate Ratan Lal Nath won the seat by defeating CPI(M) candidate Subhas Chandra Debnath
Mohanpur is one of the 60 Legislative Assembly constituencies of Tripura state. It is in West Tripura district and a part of Tripura West (Lok Sabha constituency). In 2018, the constituency had total 43,726 electors. The total population in 2023 is etimated to be 6,400.
In 2018, Ratan Lal Nath of the Bharatiya Janata Party won the seat by defeating Subhas Chandra Debnath of the Communist Party Of India (marxist) with a margin of 5176 votes.
Before he moved to the BJP in 2018 Ratan Lal Nath had been a five-time Congress MLA from his seat Mohanpur.
This election, Ratan Lal Nath is contesting against Cong’s Prasanta Sen Chowdhury from the Mohanpur seat.
