Kadamtala-Kurti Legislative Assembly constituency is one of the 60 Legislative Assembly constituencies of Tripura which comes under the North Tripura district. It is also part of Tripura East Lok Sabha Constituency. Kadamtala village is located in the Kadamtala subdivision of the North Tripura district. It is situated 12km away from sub-district headquarters Kadamtala (tehsildar office) and 44km away from district headquarter Kailasahar. Kurti village is located in the Kadamtala subdivision of the North Tripura district. It is situated 7km away from sub-district headquarters Kadamtala (tehsildar office) and 39km away from district headquarters Kailasahar.

Communist Party Of India (Marxist) candidate Islam Uddin is the sitting MLA of the constituency. Islam Uddin won the seat for the party in the 2018 Assembly elections with 20,721 votes defeating BJP candidate Tinku Roy with a margin of 6882 votes. Party candidate Fayzur Rohaman won the seat in the 2013 Assembly elections with 14,514 votes by defeating Congress candidate Abdul Matin Chaudhury by a margin of 1,929 votes.
