Belonia is one of the 60 Legislative Assembly constituencies of Tripura state in India. It is part of the South Tripura district and is centered around the town of Belonia. In 2018, the constituency had 43,660 electors.

In 2018, this constituency was won by the Arun Chandra Bhaumick of BJP by defeating Basudev Majumder of CPIM with a margin of 753 votes.

Belonia Assembly Constituency falls under the Tripura West Lok Sabha constituency. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Pratima Bhoumik won from Tripura West Lok Sabha (MP) Seat with a margin of 3,05,689 votes by defeating Subal Bhowmik of Congress. Belonia is a Nagar Panchayat city in the district of South Tripura, Tripura. Belonia city is divided into 17 wards for which elections are held every 5 years. The current estimated population of Belonia Nagar Panchayat in 2023 is approximately 27,300.
Belonia is particularly famous for Pilak and Trishna Wildlife Sanctuary.
