Badharghat is one of the 60 Legislative Assembly constituencies of Tripura state in India. It is part of West Tripura district and is reserved for candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes. It is also part of West Tripura Lok Sabha constituency.
In 2018, this constituency was won by Dilip Sarkar of BJP by defeating Jharna Das Baidya of the Communist Party Of India (Marxist) with a margin of 5,448 votes. In 2013 too Sarkar won the seat by defeating Samar Das with a margin of 643 votes. In 2008, Sarkar won the seat by defeating Subrata Chakraborty with a margin of 375 votes.
Sarkar died on April 2019. BJP’s Mimi Majumder won the by-election and she is the sitting MLA of Badharghat.
