Ampinagar is an assembly constituency in Tripura. It is part of Gomati district and is reserved for candidates belonging to the Scheduled Tribes. In 2018, this constituency was won by the Indigenousn People’s Front Of Tripura.
In 2018, Sindhu Chandra Jamatia of the Indigenous People’s Front Of Tripura (IPFT) won the seat by defeating Daniel Jamatia of the Communist Party Of India (Marxist) with a margin of 4947 votes.
Sindhu Chandra Jamatia is the sitting MLA of Ampinagar.
